About The Author

Jane Frances Amler / J.F. Lewis

 

Jane Frances Amler is the author of Christopher Columbus’s Jewish Roots (Jason Aronson, 1992).  This internationally recognized nonfiction work was a main selection of the Jewish Book Club.  She also wrote the children’s book, Haym Salomon: Patriot Banker of the American Revolution (Rosen Publication, 2004) and is a contributing writer for The Scribner Encyclopedia of American Lives.    Her third novel, Blood Red Dawn, is an historical novel based on two protagonists swept into the American Revolution, the destruction of the Native American world in the Northeast, and the brave attempts of freed slaves to build a new nation.  She has also written, The Fifth Kingdom(iuniverse 2011) and Children of the Covenant (2012). She holds a Ph.D. in English Literature/Creative Writing and is an Adjunct English Professor at Iona College.
